Antonio Caro: Antes de Cuiabá
Artist book for the Casas Riegner Gallery that contains photographs, works of art, documents, photocopies and hand written texts done by Antonio Caro related to his trip to Cuiabá, a small town in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil.
This project established a discussion with the artist, Antonio knew exactly what he wanted for the book. Should the design process act as a translation? Should design criteria be imposed over Antonio’s idea and concept? Where exactly do these questions meet?
